Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Jay Banks.

How did you decide to become an artist?

Jay Banks: Well I actually didnt think about becoming an artist until I was 18 and I had friends who would record there music. It was something about being in the studio that captured my attention. Eventually I got to write a verse for one of the artist in the studio and I personal loved the way it sounded so from that point forward I decided that I was going to be the best to do it!

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I havent got the chance to perform live but it will definitly be something I look forward to in the near future.

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I am currently working on my first official mixtape ”High Gravity”.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

If the price and terms where up to par with what I expect and I can make my own music then I will sign.

Any last words?

I want to give a shout out to God first, then my friends and family that supported me. I also want to acknowledge my birth city Little Rock, AR and all the go gettere in my city. I also want to metion Dallas, TX where i spent a lot of time growning up, because I got love for yall too. Special shout outs to my right hand man Mark aka Big Mane, My god bro Dre, Mom and Dad, Jeff, Jason, and Brett. We headed to the top!
