Featured artist: O.Zee Grassman - O.Zee Grassman – Toronto Hip Hop Artist

Thank's for your time! Let's start with the interview: What's your artist name?

O.Zee Grassman

How did you decide to become an artist?

O.Zee Grassman: Like a majority of artists, i’m the same in the sense that I have always loved music, no matter the genre. Also as you could’ve guessed, Eminem was my main influence to start writing, rapping & recording. His ability to separate the colour barrier in Hip Hop and truly show that anyone of any age, colour, race, upbringing or beliefs (or for his matter disbeliefs) can still excel no matter the case as long as they strive to practice their craft amongst other things. Obviously there is a lot more behind the music industry that isn’t as straight forward and easy, but this is what initially inspired me to become an artist at a young naive age.

What was the best advice given to you as an artist?

”When you do something truly great you don’t watch it, you trust it.”

- O.Zee Grassman

What about concerts? Do you play live?

O.Zee Grassman: Yes, I have been performing live for about a year now and have opened for acts such as Moka Only, Slum Village, Apathy & Celph Titled, Killah Priest & I have an upcoming performance on March 21, 2014 opening for 90’s NY Hip Hop duo ”Black Sheep” as well as J. Sands from ”Lone Catalyst”

Best punchline you ever wrote?

”Pain is second hand, brother of the clock. But if second hand is pain, then it comes around a lot.”

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

O.Zee Grassman:I am currently working on my 3rd mixtape ”Endless Recess” which will release in Spring 2014. My 2 past mixtapes are available FREE on Datpiff here: http://www.datpiff.com/profile/Grassman

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

O.Zee Grassman: That question is very hard to answer seeing as so many questions come into play. i.e. Which Label, their intentions, contract details? Length of Contract? and so on and so forth. At this moment I have to say I doubt i’d turn down a deal. Then again like I said there are many things that can change that.

Where can you be contacted?
